Be a Kid Again

Be a Kid Again

On January 12th, members of UCLA Circle K went to LA Family Housing’s Pacoima Transitional Shelter to support Be A Kid Again, a weekly children’s event where children at the Transitional Shelter have an opportunity to hang out and play with other children and volunteers. Volunteers played soccer, football, basketball, and made crafts with the kids. Overall, it was incredibly exciting to form bonds with the kids and their parents. They told interesting stories and had a unique and refreshing perspective on life. You could tell that they truly appreciated the event because when it was time to go, the kids cried and tugged at our hands.
